Lines are objective units of visual reality, which are not found in Nature and which I explore in my visual practice.
The Random work consists of horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lines and includes books, slides, film, paintings, notebooks, as well as ink drawings and taped drawings on paper.
Random outlines generate values, which are used to determine any number of given lines in a composition. Matrices define lines located on a grid. Lines and matrices are visual and conceptual equivalents and become the titles of the work. The linear configurations form unique works within a larger body of possibilities.
